Mi chiamo Valentina, sono nata a Milano nel 1976, visual artist e live video performer.
La mia ricerca è orientata a raccontare il mondo reale attraverso la decontestualizzazione onirica dei suoi elementi, al sogno come narrazione discontinua e fuori controllo della memoria. Utilizzo un linguaggio iconografico lentamente cangiante e diversi media, come super8, 8mm e fotografia. Vivo e lavoro a Berlino.

My name’s Valentina, I was born in Milan in 1976, visual artist and live video performer.
My focus is on the narration of the real world through the oniric decontextualization of its elements, on dream as a nonlinear and out of control tale of memory. I use a slow and various iconographic language and mixed media such as super8, 8mm, and photography. Live and work in Berlin.

JENNER: Questo video raccoglie alcuni momenti in cui non ero presente ma erano presenti le persone che amo di più. I miei genitori insieme, hanno formato la mia famiglia. Hanno creato il loro nucleo che li portava via dalla loro adolescenza. Di alcuni di loro rimane ormai solo questa testimonianza.
This film gathers a few moments in which I wasn't present but were present the persons that I love more. My parents together formed my family. Created their own family unit which take them away from their youth.

MONOTONO: è un duo audiovisivo formato da Valentina Besegher e Alessandro Massobrio volto ad esplorare, attraverso l'utilizzo di mezzi elettronici e computer ed in forma libera e narrativa, la fisicità del suono e della luce come trama materica dei processi cognitivi e dell'idea di consapevolezza che costruiamo di volta in volta nello spazio e nel tempo.
Monotono is an audiovisual duo by Valentina Besegher and Alessandro Massobrio with the aim to explore, through electronic media and computers and into free and narrative style, the physical part of sound and light as the material weft of our cognitive process and of the personal idea of consciousness that we are building into space and time.
